Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Taranaki Construction
Safety Group will be held on the above date, time and venue for the purpose of considering and, if
thought appropriate, passing resolutions to amend the Society’s Constitution, pursuant to the
Incorporated Societies Act 1908 (or 2022, depending on which Act the society is now registered under).
Agenda:
1. Confirmation of quorum
2. Motion to amend the Constitution
3. Discussion and voting on proposed amendments
4. General business (if any)
5. Meeting closure
Purpose of the Meeting:
The purpose of this EGM is to consider and vote on proposed changes to the Society’s Constitution.
These changes are intended to:
1. Aims – to promote through education, leadership and practice a culture that puts safety, and
well-being to the fore with every person involved in all aspects of the Construction and Building
Industry – every day.
2. Before 5 April 2026 a decision needs to be made as to whether the TCSG:
a. Applies to Register to continue operating as an incorporated Society under the new Act, or
b. Appoint a Liquidator; or
c. Wind Up the operation and apply to be dissolved;
d. Investigate coming under another Incorporated Societies Umbrella?
